Tooth Alignment with Invisalign
If Invisalign interest you, here are some steps that will help you understand more about this treatment process.
Your initial consultation
The first step is to call us to schedule an appointment, where our dentist will talk to you about different types of alternatives that are available to correct your bite. Since everyone is not a candidate for Invisalign, our dentist must first conduct an oral evaluation to see if you qualify for this treatment.
Your treatment plan
Once you are having been eligible for Invisalign, our dentist will begin customizing a plan for you. Dental impressions are one method that our dentist may use to create your aligners. The images from our iTero digital scanning system will show you the exact movements your teeth need to make, along with the expected treatment outcome. Our dentist can also do dental impressions of your teeth using our comprehensive 3D digital system to show your teeth’s current condition and what you can expect with Invisalign.
The Invisalign aligners
As mentioned earlier, Invisalign is a set of transparent aligners. They are typically made of a BPA-free, SmartTrack material, meaning that the aligners do not contain the toxins many plastic components carry. One of the benefits of the aligners is that they can be removed easily, making it very convenient to brush and floss your teeth as you usually would.
Although Invisalign aligners are detachable, to see ultimate results our dentist will recommend wearing them most of day and night. Moreover, your Invisalign aligners will be replaced by our dentist throughout the treatment as needed. Our staff will schedule you these appointments to monitor your progress and make any necessary changes.
Following the plan
Our dentist will provide you useful instructions and recommendations on how to clean and take proper care of your aligners. To reduce possibilities for bacteria growth, after eating, be sure to brush your teeth and aligners before inserting them. After you have completed your Invisalign treatment, and depending on your specific case, our dentist will most likely recommend wearing a retainer. Wearing a retainer is highly recommended as it will secure the stability of your teeth and their new position.
Credit and payment options
Our office offers several credit options for the Invisalign procedure. You may also apply for CareCredit and see if you qualify for a line of credit that will allow you to obtain flexible payment options.
